The Jungle Thickens.....

So after spending 72 hours trying to get a rough draft of a client manuscript together I get an email (not a call) from my supervisor. Guess what? My co-teacher just quit. Ah I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Supposedly they're sending someone over to help me. My trip for the day, a walk through the neighborhood to show them what Williamsburg used to look like, will most likely go on hold as I can't have sixth grades out in twenty degree temperatures for any kind of a lesson. So I've got to hold down a fort of ten kids more or less on my own for 90 minutes four days a week. The bosses say a replacement should be coming directly, but I know it'll at least be a week or two before the cavalry shows up. I sure do know how to pick'em don't I?

The good thing is that I'm not exactly panicking about it. Hell if worse comes to worse I'll be running spades tournaments every Thursday, LIFE every Tuesday and I might start reading my books to them [clean versions of course] one at a time. The idea of it all makes me with laugh. I'm a student of irony after all. But hell it all goes on.

Shoutout to my dear Seda for throwing another live party this weekend. It was the last hurrah for the remains of my old crew as Benita is now officially a Georgia resident with her man, Wood. Byron and I are now a dynamic duo. It's a scientific fact that change is a constant. So I'm welcoming it.

Three days until Valentines Day and the only think I'm hoping for my heart is that it doesn't give out. In some ways it would be oh so soothing to have a woman at my side who truly understands this mess I'm in. But it isn't the time for that. I'm working now so that I can really play later. In the end all of this is just a moment, a moment when I'm once again being reborn.

Shoutout to Tiff for keeping me alive and kicking. Out.
